What is DESIGN to me?

         For me design is everywhere. In our everyday things we use and in everyone room or building we step foot in. On campus every thing we see was designed by someone. The arch is a huge symbol of our school, and the arch itself was designed to the very last detail. Without a doubt, Interior Design is my favorite out of all the kinds of designs. The feeling people get when they walk in the room is all up to us. Do they want to feel calm and relaxed or excited and interested? It is up to us to make a room functional and beautiful. We must translate things we see and things that are wanted, in order to satisfy the room to its full potential. Interior design is a work of art, and full of beautiful translations.

What is my Style?    

         Regarding my style type, I definitely gravitate towards a specific area. I love vintage and antique furniture. I love the color palette of the vintage look, and I love the worn by time and the story told by antiques. But at the same time I love clean lines and a more muted color palette for the room as whole.  Duller colored walls bring calm to the space and can be brought to life by accent colors and bright furniture or textiles. I like accessories that bring interest to room and catch your eye. So I guess Vintage Contemporary is the right style for me.
